The itaas Hotel VOD Billing System Gateway (BSG) enables MSOs to
leverage their residential VOD infrastructure to provide VOD services
to the hospitality industry. Traditional cable billing systems face a
challenge in catering to the real time billing requirements for
servicing hotels. Additionally, hospitality systems require VOD
purchases to be posted to the MSO billing system and to each
hotel’s billing system or property management system (PMS).
The requirement for double post accounting and support for the large
number of Property Management Systems are some of the challenges cable
operators face in offering a hotel VOD solution. The itaas Hotel VOD
BSG addresses this problem by interfacing between the Business
Management System (BMS) and the cable billing system to isolate hotel
VOD transactions from residential VOD transactions.
