Many cable set-top boxes today still run applications on native platforms. itaas provides Service Providers with development, testing and support for these platforms. We have developed, certified and deployed applications for a variety of cable systems.
Our focus is on increasing the value of these legacy boxes by extending their capabilities.
For example, by developing a solution to connect wireless and mobile devices to these native platforms, we were able to add value to the legacy set-top boxes. Itaas developed an application on a mobile device to that allowed control tuning and DVR settings on a set-top box via the SARA guide platform. Applications like this allow advanced functionality for consumers without immediately deploying new devices, enhancing customer satisfaction!
