Vibha Rustagi, President & CEO
Vibha Rustagi, president and CEO of itaas, Inc., has been involved in the telecommunications and cable industry for more than 22 years. She started her career as an engineer as well as marketing and sales professional at Scientific-Atlanta, now Cisco, where she was integrally involved in the design and launch of the first digital networks and the development of early interactive applications.

Rustagi was featured amongst the “Top 40 under 40 Up and Comers” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and was selected as one of the top 100 Most Influential Minorities in Cable. In addition, she was a recipient of the University of Pittsburgh’s Distinguished Young Alumni Award. Multichannel News selected her as one of the “Women to Watch” for the creative and concrete contributions she has made to the growth of itaas and the growth of Pay TV, broadband and telecommunications industries. The Russell Athletic Shootout honored her amongst the 10 most influential and successful businesswomen in Atlanta, and the Atlanta Magazine named her one of Atlanta’s top 50 most influential international leaders. Most recently, Rustagi was awarded the “Individual Leadership” award from [itvt] for her leadership in the interactive, multiplatform TV industry.
Rustagi holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.
Jatin Desai, CTO
Jatin Desai is a founding partner and the Chief Technology Officer of itaas, Inc., an 11-year old software development and engineering company focused on the development, design, integration, testing and deployment of interactive applications for multiplatform digital video networks.
Desai serves as the chief architect and technical visionary of itaas, guiding the company’s product development and assisting clients with their technical strategies.

Desai has been responsible for creating and leading a team of talented engineers across various geographic locations and delivering products that include diverse and constantly changing technologies. Currently, he is leading the company’s engineering force to deliver on the vision of revenue-generating interactive services such as transactional TV, multi-screen and multi-platform applications. The goal is to enable interactivity for cable, IP, DTH, and wireless technologies across platforms such as tru2way, EBIF, iOS, HTML5, Android, CEA2014, MoCA, and DLNA.”
Desai has more than 20 years of engineering experience and technical leadership honed at Scientific-Atlanta (Cisco), Sun Microsystems, Digital Equipment Corporation and Fidelity Management & Research. At Scientific-Atlanta, Desai was a key contributor for the architecture, design and development of various digital network components. He also developed the network control system to manage the first-ever digital broadcast network created specifically for the 1996 Olympics. Most recently, he was selected for the “Digital Hot List” by CableFAX Magazine as one of the best and brightest executives from the world of cable, online video and technology.
Desai holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University in India and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a member of The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the Association for Computing Machinery.
Jaspal Bhasin, COO
Jaspal Bhasin is a founding partner and Chief Operating Officer of itaas, Inc., where he focuses on financial and operation matters, along with leading technical initiatives for the company.
Instrumental in interactive TV since its inception when he contributed in early trials, Bhasin brings more than 18 years of technology experience to the company, in the areas of iTV, client server systems, data warehousing and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining itaas, Bhasin held a number of high-level positions at such companies as Naviant, Sybase and Computer Associates, where he was responsible for design and deployment of large Marketing Data Warehouse solutions and other data products.

Bhasin earned a Bachelor of Electronics and Communications degree from REC in India and a Master of Computer Science and Management Science from the University of Tennessee. He is often a speaker on panels at industry events such as Digital Hollywood, STB 2010, TV 3.0 Summit, and the OTT Tech Conference. Publications include: “Selecting AI Tools Using A Hierarchical Decision Process” M.L.Emrich and Jaspal Bhasin: Paper presented at the 51st Annual Meeting of The American Society of Information Science and “Modeling the Decision Process Using Multi Criteria Decision Theories” Jaspal Bhasin and M.L.Emrich: presented to the American Statistical Association.
Jamil “Jim” Elayan, VP – Marketing & Business Development
Jim Elayan is Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for itaas, Inc., an 11-year old software development and engineering company focused on the design, development, testing and deployment of interactive applications. He is responsible for marketing strategies and business development, working directly with customers to create interactive solutions across a host of software and hardware platforms – including cable, IP, and wireless technologies. His role includes from assisting with the initial creative design concept, identifying key consumer-appeal points, GUIs, technical viability and ROI analysis, to the successful launch of a variety of interactive applications and digital video services.
Elayan brings over 18 years of cable TV and telecommunications experience as well as cross-industry marketing and business development experience to itaas. He is currently a member of the CTAM Multi-platform Committee and has been speaker on various panels at events such as TVOT, CTAM NY, TelcoTV and CableFAX webinars.

In 1991 Elayan joined Scientific-Atlanta (Cisco) in launching one of the earliest “multimedia” experiences widely available through cable TV, Digital Music Express (DMX). This experience led him to a marketing role in the launch of one of the earliest interactive services, video games through cable TV via the “Sega Channel.” Additionally, he participated in a series of private equity-funded company transactions and served as Vice President of Marketing for firms in and out of the telecommunications industry.
Elayan received his MBA from Emory (Goizueta) Business School and lives with his wife, Krista, and their four children in Athens, Georgia.
Roger Demuth, VP – Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering at itaas, Inc., Roger Demuth leads itaas’ growing engineering and program management organizations in North America. itaas is a leading provider of multi-platform digital interactive video solutions for service providers, broadcasters, application developers, and technology vendors, deploying interactive technology in the digital media industry. In this leadership role, Demuth has the responsibility for ensuring that the company can meet the challenges of the development, integration, testing, and deployment of applications to multiple screens that enable interactive for IP, cable, and wireless devices.
Demuth has more than 20 years of professional software development and management experience in a variety of lead roles. Most recently, he was Vice President of Engineering and Senior Vice President of services at Ensequence, where he led a team working on interactive TV products and technology.

At Ensequence, Demuth was responsible for the engineering organization during its period of highest growth. He also helped build out the company’s European operation and managed the professional services organization worldwide. He was instrumental in winning Ensequence’s largest customer, shopping channel QVC, based in the UK. Prior to Ensequence, he worked at a variety of software companies building among other things, Palm and other handheld synchronization applications, medical risk management software and high-end database replication software.
Demuth has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Luther College and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Purdue University.
Arun Prasad, VP – World Wide Operations
Arun leads itaas’ worldwide Operations. He has been responsible for setting-up and growing itaas’s development center in India, and also manages key engagements.
Arun has more than 25 years of experience of working with a proven track record of building high performance, geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams.

Prior to joining itaas, Mr. Prasad was Vice President of Product & Delivery Services at VSoft Corporation, an Atlanta-based check-processing software company, where he managed client engagement, product development and professional services teams. He also served in India as Principal Research Manager in RDCIS and worked on developing Mathematical Models for industrial processes. He has several international Research publications to his credit.
Arun holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and an MS in Manufacturing Systems from IIT Kharagpur.
